Wedding days fly by, but we believe you can remember so much more of your celebration than you ever thought possible. Here’s how we help you slow down, take it all in, and savor every detail.

Our goal is for your photos to transport you back to the moment they were taken. But you won’t remember anything if the day moves too fast. We’ll step in to help you pause, take a deep breath, and listen to the sounds of your celebration.

Weddings can be complicated creatures, so we keep things simple. We’ll start by getting to know your story, and then we’ll put our time-honored process in motion to tell it beautifully.

... that is home.

The first step is to sit down with us or talk over the phone (our couples are busy – we get it!) We’ll pour some tea, hear your love story, pick out an album, and reserve your date.

You tie the knot. We make gorgeous images. We all high five. While you’re flying off to your honeymoon, our editors will begin perfecting your images for you to enjoy.

Once your final images are finished, we’ll begin perfecting your album designs as well as selecting your favorite images to produce fine-art sdgfsdfg for your home.

Once you’ve booked with us, we’ll work closely with your coordinator to put together the perfect schedule of photography and list of family portraits. We’ll scout photo locations and dial in every last detail so you can focus on other important things – like perfecting your cat-like dance moves for the after party…

Your only job on the wedding day is to stay present and celebrate your hearts out. After the wedding, we’ll share our favorite images via blog, Facebook, Instagram, and carrier pigeon. You’ll love them all.

Important Disclaimer: We cannot be held fully responsible for the tears of joy from the resulting images.

This is one of the most important steps in the process, but sadly, it’s usually the most forgotten. This is the time that we help you preserve your memories for generations to come through your wedding album and fine-art for your home. Because your memories should live in a frame on your wall – not on a USB in a drawer.

Technology changes rapidly. Your memories shouldn’t.

You will adore your wedding album in these first precious years, but your album isn’t actually meant for today. Your album is meant for all of your tomorrows.

Is your family opening their albums to share their weddings?

When the next generation gets engaged, we know you’ll do the same. You’ll open your own album and laugh and cry just as much as your family is right now.

Because of this, our albums are strong and classic. Yours will be just as beautiful on your thirtieth anniversary as it is on your first.

As soon as I saw you, I knew an adventure was going to happen.

Below are the most common questions we receive from our couples. If we don’t answer your question here, contact us below to find out more.

Do you deliver every image you shoot?

No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. For example, because we shoot with low apertures, sometimes we take a few extra shots to make sure we have the perfect focus. We don’t expect you to have the expertise or the time to zoom into each image to select the one with the sharpest focus, so we spend hours doing that on our end. In another example, candid laughs and emotional tears are some of the best images from the day. Unfortunately, they can also yield some unflattering facial expressions. We might snap a few extras of any of these moments to make sure we have a great shot with the ideal expression for the moment. With our expertise of processing millions of images each year, we may eliminate ones that we feel are duplicates and only deliver the best one.

Have you shot at my venue before?

We have shot at hundreds of venues, so there is a good chance that we have. However, if we have not, we will get to the venue early on the day of and be sure to perform a thorough walk-through to scout out the best photography locations. We also do extensive online research prior to your big day!

Do you do destination weddings? What additional fees are associated with destination weddings?

While Alex Knight Studio is based out of New York City, we serve clients all around the world. Our destination wedding photography packages include the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.

Do you provide partial day coverage?

We typically do not provide partial day coverage on weekends. On weekends, we only accept clients that require at least 6 hours of coverage or have a budget of $4,950.00 and above.

Can I see a full event from start to finish?

Of course you may! We pride ourselves on the consistency of our work. We understand all photographers post their best shots from each wedding on their websites so it’s hard to determine how well he or she will perform on the wedding day. That is why we encourage all of our potential clients to view full events from all photographers they meet with to see how well the photographer performs throughout the day.

My venue is very dark. How does your studio handle these situations and can I see samples?

We have shot in the darkest of dark synagogues, temples, churches, and reception halls so no need to worry! If the situation allows, we will set up additional lighting to ensure we get focused pictures. Some temples do not allow for flash photography; and for that reason, we shoot on camera’s with superb low-light performance and lenses with low apertures (check out our Toolkit here).
