Allie and Charlie married on the last Sunday of August at Trump National Golf Club Westchester in Briarcliff Manor, with the ceremony outside on the course, the tisch on the terrace, and a ballroom lit red for the hora. Planned by Rosepops. A day that started in pajamas and ended with Charlie in the air.
Getting Ready
Allie got ready with her bridesmaids in matching pajamas, the gown hanging from the carved wardrobe, and a window seat with the kind of grey late-summer light that makes skin look like it is lit from inside. The first look of the day was not with Charlie. It was with her father, in the gilt mirror of the suite. Charlie dressed in the locker room downstairs, all wood panelling and suspenders.

First Look and Portraits on the Course
Trump National Westchester has a waterfall on the golf course, a full-height one, and it is the reason to do portraits here. We took Allie and Charlie out over the wooden bridge, across the fairway, and down to the water before the guests arrived, then back up to the clock and the flower beds by the clubhouse. The grand staircase under the chandelier came later, between the ceremony and dinner.

The Tisch and the Bedeken
The tisch ran on the terrace with the whole clubhouse behind it, Charlie flanked by his father and the rabbi at the head of the table. The bedeken that followed was the loud, close, joyful kind, and her father's kiss on the forehead as the veil came down is the frame Allie will keep.

A Chuppah on the Golf Course
The ceremony was outside, an aisle lined with wildflowers running to a chuppah with a hand-painted canopy, the flowers on the fabric matching the ones at its feet. From above, the drone shows the guests in a square of white chairs on the green with the course rolling away behind them. Charlie wore a tallit under the canopy. They walked out to cheering and were surrounded before they reached the end of the aisle.

The Reception
Inside, the ballroom was set with wildflower centerpieces and lit red for dancing. There was a hora that lifted Charlie over the crowd, Allie dancing with her bridesmaids in a ring of pastel, a first dance, and a cake wrapped in sunflowers that matched the flowers on the tables.
