a warm welcome from
I am so excited that you are interested in choosing my team and I to document your family!
We believe in real moments and chasing sunsets. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy
that can be found in the simplest of moments together. We believe in images that are itching
to be printed, placed in beautiful frames and hung on walls for years to come.
I began capturing images on film at the age of 22 when I discovered my dad’s old Pentax in
the attic. The limited amount of images on a roll of film forced me to put the camera phone down
and really observe the beauty in the world, and the people around me. Every time I pick up my
camera, I aim to create not just photographs, but stories that highlight the beauty and emotions
of those within and the world around them.

We carefully curate your gallery so that every image is beautiful, flattering, and meaningful. This means you’ll never need to sort through duplicates, test shots, or anything less than our highest standard. You’ll receive a polished collection that tells the full story of your day — typically 150–200 images per hour of coverage.
Yes — family formals are a very important part of the wedding day, and we make sure they are done efficiently and beautifully. Before the wedding, we’ll ask you (and your planner, if you have one) for a list of “must-have” family groupings. On the day, our team will guide the process so nothing is missed, and you can get back to enjoying your celebration.
Chances are we have — we’ve worked at hundreds of venues in New York, Miami, LA, and destinations worldwide. If not, we always arrive early for a walk-through and we do our research in advance to know the best spots for portraits, family photos, and those special little moments.
Absolutely. Many of the temples and ballrooms we work in have low lighting. We use top-of-the-line cameras and lenses made for these conditions, and when needed, we discreetly bring in professional lighting. This allows us to capture everything — from candlelit ceremonies to late-night dancing — with clarity and elegance.
Yes. Our albums are handcrafted, custom-designed, and meant to become family heirlooms. We offer two lines — Essential and Signature — with different cover options, layouts, and parent album add-ons. You’ll be guided through the design process so your finished album reflects your family’s story perfectly.
We know how eager families are to relive the day. That’s why we deliver a preview gallery within one week. Full photo galleries are delivered in 5–6 weeks (peak season), and video edits take 8–12 weeks. Expedited options are available in our Signature packages.
Your highlight film and creative documentary videos will be ready to view and download 1-2 months following your wedding date (provided that you submit both pre-post wedding questionnaire forms).
Each of our packages comes with a full resolution video download. However, we typically do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files from our shoots because we believe in delivering a finished product. In fact, we're often shooting with the end (post-produced) product in mind. However, you may request to have your RAW video files for an additional fee. Releasing the RAW files is left up to the discretion of the company.
Yes and no. Picking the right score/soundtrack for your creative film plays a huge role in the creative process when putting your wedding film together. To make the best possible wedding film, a lot of time and effort is put in just to research what types of scores and sounds will best match the mood and emotion of your wedding day. Also, AKS is unable to use the music for which we are unable to obtain a license agreement. However, we can provide you with specific websites that grant licensing rights. There, you may choose music for the creative documentary videos. Please note that the music selection must be done before the edit begins. Otherwise, additional editing fees will be incurred.
Of course! You can view most of our videos on our Vimeo page.
We use Sony FX5 cameras exclusively—the same cameras used by Netflix—to ensure the highest production value for your wedding. Our range of professional-grade lenses allows us to capture every moment with stunning clarity. To achieve smooth and stable footage, we utilize stabilization gear such as tripods, monopods, sliders, glide cams, gimbals, and potentially drones. For audio, we use professional-grade lavalier microphones and audio recording units to capture pristine sound quality for all wedding vows and speeches throughout your special day.
Alex Knights Cinematography takes on the same approach as our photography. We focus on breathtaking visuals matched with great auditory sounds and dialogue that best match your wedding day to tell a great story: we are true storytellers. We focus on creating unique and personalized wedding films that will not only document precious moments but will also tell a story in a cinematic and captivating way to you may truly relieve these special moments.
