Ashley and Kendall married at The Bowery Hotel in the East Village on a clear September evening in 2022, with 160 guests, a first look on the rooftop terrace with the whole Manhattan skyline behind them, a ceremony in front of a grand fireplace, and a ring bearer named Penny. The whole night felt like them: warm, relaxed, and full of people they love.

Getting Ready

Ashley’s Marchesa gown hung in the window of her suite, the afternoon light picking out every layer of tulle. Her details were laid out beside it: a David Yurman bracelet, Manolo Blahniks in robin’s egg blue, and a traditional Irish handkerchief from her mother in the same soft blue. Kendall got ready down the hall in his parents’ suite.

A First Look Above the City

Just after four, Ashley walked out onto the hotel’s brick terrace to meet Kendall, with downtown Manhattan and One World Trade Center stretching out behind them. Penny joined them for portraits, and it’s hard to say who got more attention.

Family & Bridal Party

We stayed up on the terrace for the family and bridal party portraits while the light was still golden, then moved inside to the Bowery’s green-windowed lounge for a quiet moment before the ceremony.

A Fireplace Ceremony

The ceremony took place in front of a grand fireplace framed by exposed brick, vintage chandeliers and rustic wooden chairs. Blade Floral Design filled the altar with white roses, hydrangeas and peonies and white floor candles. Ashley walked in with her father and her calla lilies, read her own vows, and Penny made it through the ring exchange like a professional.

The Reception

The reception was cocktail style all night, with ivory linens, white roses, candles, and initialed napkins, plus a fresh seafood bar in honor of their favorite trip together. Then STARROCK Productions took the stage, the first dance turned into a full dance floor, and Kendall ended up in the air before the night was over.
