A Lavender Waterfront Wedding at Greentree Country Club: Maayan & Jon

Some color palettes are chosen; this one bloomed. Maayan and Jon married on a summer Sunday at Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle — 271 guests, a waterfront chuppah over Long Island Sound, and lavender in every direction: the bridesmaids, the florals, the ballroom, the light.

It was also one of the most musical weddings we’ve ever photographed — but we’ll get to the electric guitar.

Getting Ready at Greentree Country Club

The morning unfolded inside Greentree Country Club’s bridal suites — Maayan’s Pronovias gown on a gilded mirror, her girls in lavender, and Jon down the hall with his cufflinks and his calm.

A First Look on the Greentree Lawn

The first look happened out back on the lawn, Long Island Sound just past the grasses — and the gardens at Greentree Country Club carried a full hour of portraits without repeating themselves once.

The Bridal Party in Lavender

Lavender was the thread of the whole day — bridesmaids in every shade of it, groomsmen in black tie, and a floral-drenched chuppah as their backdrop.

The Bedeken & Ketubah

Before the aisle: a tisch full of song, a ketubah signed in careful ink, and a bedeken where Jon — wrapped in his tallit — could not stop laughing through his own tears.

A Chuppah Over Long Island Sound

The ceremony stood under Greentree Country Club’s waterfront pergola, wrapped by White Ribbon in wisteria, roses, and every shade of lavender — with the Sound glittering behind the vows and bubbles carrying the recessional.

The Reception — and Jon on Guitar

Inside, the ballroom glowed lavender. Avi Maza kept the floor packed from the first hora on — and mid-reception Jon strapped on an electric guitar and played for his own wedding, down on one knee and everything.
