High School Harmony: A Love Story 10 Years in the Making
Talia and Benjamin's love story began in high school choir, where their shared passion for music brought them together. Singing side by side, they formed a connection that only grew stronger over time. After ten years of dating, including 5.5 years of navigating the challenges of long-distance love, they finally tied the knot. Their journey, marked by devotion and harmony, led to a beautiful wedding day at Crossed Keys Estate on July 30, 2023, where they celebrated their enduring love with family and friends.

The couple chose Crossed Keys Estate for its stunning outdoor grounds and newly built ceremony area. With its historic charm, lush gardens, and sophisticated white farmhouse featuring a floor to ceiling 40 ft window overlooking the grounds, the venue perfectly balanced their desire for an outdoor element without compromising guest comfort. The on-site florist adorned the venue with an abundance of white flowers and hints of pink roses, creating a picturesque scene against the greenery. The farmhouse, where the reception was held, was decked with vines, fairy lights, and hanging white flowers from the chandeliers, creating a magical ambiance. The food, beautifully plated by Classical Catering, added to the elegance of the celebration, offering a feast for the eyes and the palate. Talia and Benjamin felt the venue was the ideal blend of natural beauty and comfort, providing a stunning backdrop for their special day.
Before the Vows: Cherished Moments of Preparation
Before the ceremony, Talia and Benjamin got ready in tranquil spaces provided by the venue, surrounded by their loved ones. Talia's preparation included her exquisite Rivini dress from The Wedding Salon at Manhasset, which she found after a serendipitous second visit to the store. Benjamin donned a sharp suit from Proper Cloth, looking every bit the dashing groom. Their day-of coordinator, Audra from The Day Of Company, ensured everything went smoothly, allowing the couple to relax and enjoy these precious moments. We captured numerous photos of Talia and Benjamin during this time, showcasing their excitement and the love that surrounded them.

The Bedeken and Tisch ceremonies were held outdoors, continuing the theme of embracing nature. The men made their way to Talia, who was surrounded by the women in her life under a tree. This touching tradition added depth and meaning to their wedding day. The Bedeken ceremony was particularly special, as it emphasized the couple’s deep connection and the support of their loved ones. A Personal and Joyous Ceremony
The outdoor ceremony, officiated by their cousin Rabbi Hody Nemes, was deeply personal and heartfelt. Talia's parents created a new family heirloom with their chuppah, featuring a family tree that grows with each wedding. Each of Talia’s siblings has a side of the chuppah, where they can place their own quote, making it a meaningful symbol of family and love. Ben arranged an acapella piece performed by his college friends as Talia circled him at the chuppah, adding a unique and musical element to the ceremony. The setting was perfect, with the weather cooperating beautifully, creating a serene and joyous atmosphere.

The reception in the farmhouse was a vibrant celebration filled with lively dancing, delicious food, and unforgettable music. Ben surprised Talia by singing a heartfelt song with his acapella group, adding a deeply personal touch to the evening. The energy on the dance floor was electric, with guests dancing with glow sticks, creating a festive and colorful atmosphere.
Classical Catering provided a delightful culinary experience, ensuring every guest was satisfied with their meal. The band Hank Lane kept the party going all night with an incredible mix of music that had everyone on their feet. From start to finish, the reception was a joyous celebration of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
